About Jaymie

Jaymie Elder

Jaymie grew up in a small coastal village in the South Island of
New Zealand, close to beautiful rivers and lakes.

Jaymie's dream since childhood has been to write and illustrate her own children’s books. As a child she loved to create stories, illustrations and poems, expressing what otherwise was not easy to share with others.

Frequent writing and time spent alone in nature offered her much opportunity to reflect on her life and develop her sensitivity to connect

with spirit.

In her early twenties, Jaymie began writing in journals about her own journey of healing and personal growth. Over many years, Jaymie found this a powerful way to express her feelings, fears, self-doubts, visions, hopes and dreams. It also helped her to learn to feel and listen for the messages and wisdom of her Soul and Spirit guides.

Jaymie always felt very connected with children and her journey has led her to work with them in many different roles - e.g. as arts co-ordinator, face painter and artist. Jaymie has also designed and created books for teenagers and schools and worked as a freelance graphic artist.

"Dreamturtle Mandala", Juerg

In 2001, Jaymie found Juerg’s Dreamturtle Mandala on a small card at a local healing centre. Over the next few years, while she lived in different places, she kept the mandala in her sacred space.

It was not until 2005, that through a "chance" meeting with a friend, she learnt about Juerg’s work of love and healing. She went to his website and to her surprise recognised the same Dreamturtle Mandala, which she had felt so drawn to.

Jaymie has been working and creating together with Juerg since 2005. Juerg Dreamturtle and Jaymie Elder write and create books for children
and adults about love, healing, soul wisdom and our Sacred Journey.
